Investing in Yourself

To have Closer Relationships

Relationships are key to us feeling happy and fulfilled.

Whether you are looking to improve the relationship with your partner, with a family member, your friends, your colleagues or your clients, there are two areas you could look at.

The first is connection.  Each of us has our way of connecting with people.  Do you react to different people in different ways?  But how aware are you of the impact on others of the way you connect? How open are you to modifying your behaviour to produce different results?  Are you aware of what you can do to produce different results?   Would you like to learn new behaviours that produce closer relationships?

The second area is about caring.  Firstly about yourself.  Do you care for yourself?  How well do you treat yourself?  Do you nourish your body with healthy food?  Have enough exercise?  Or do you abuse your body by not giving it the nutrients it needs, perhaps even harming it with smoking, excessive alcohol or drugs?  What about the way you speak to yourself; are you kind, considerate, nurturing?  Or are you harsh, intolerant and critical?

The relationships you have with others are built on the relationship you have with yourself.  The negative traits you have with yourself will show up in your relationships with others.  In order to be truly caring to others, you need to care for yourself.

On our courses, participants get to experience how they connect with others and become more aware of how they talk to themselves.  Most learn huge amounts from these experiences, and can apply these lessons immediately with the people who really matter to them.

How and where you invest in yourself is up to you.  The more you do, the more fulfilment and happiness you will experience.

I had the privilege to participate in the different Outlook trainings and it has provided me with valuable tools to dramatically improve the quality of my relations, what I want and what I don“t, and how I relate with myself.
